The joy that engulfed my heart knew no bound when I received the word “Goshen Experience” from the Lord in the place of worship, I was assured in my heart that the Lord wanted me to write a song along that theme, however, there was an usual experience with receiving words of songs from the Lord; the lines wasn’t forth coming. I was a bit perturbed and restless because few weeks before then, I mean sometime in late March 2020, the Lord led me into writing a song which was titled ‘heal our land’ which was a prayer of supplication to the Almighty God to walk through the globe and intervene in the looming global pandemic of Covid-19 “Corona Virus” which like wide fire was engulfing the entire world, not leaving out any race, religion, colour, sex and age. Indeed, the human race had had break out of pandemic before now, but the rate at which the virus was spreading as well as the death rate of those infected led to the perception that the virus could be airborne which makes the threat more eminent considering the world as a global village and the human race seems faced with unimaginable mortality rate.

As stated earlier, it was at the peak of the fear of the unknown that the Lord opened my heart to the song of prayer and supplication ‘Heal our Land’ with which we prayed to God for the healing of our sick land. I appreciate God Almighty because He answered our prayer and not only did the turbulent world began to receive appropriate revelation on how to live without the fear of being infected with the virus,  but also survivors of the virus continue to increase by the day and  the economic effect following the global shutdown had caused more wreck and havoc than words could appropriately described particularly in underdeveloped economy where the larger percentage live daily for their survival and few thriving businesses were hit hard and were shut down. It was at this stage of helplessness in my immediate environment that I was inspired and led to Gen 45:10 which states: 

‘and thou shall dwell in the land of Goshen and thou shall be near unto me, thou and thy children, thy children’s children, thy flocks, thy herds and all that thou hast and there will I nourish thee’

The phrase Goshen Experience continues to surge my heart at an overwhelming pulse and I was convinced that I needed more understanding of the Israelites’ Goshen Experience for me to excel in this new assignment, so I started searching the scripture for deeper revelations and understanding of the place ‘Goshen’ and as well as the ‘Experience’ which translated in the astonishing and divine events and occurrences which depicts till date that Jehovah is indeed an awesome God. I began to see Goshen as a symbol of being in God’s divine will, place and respite; in spite of unpleasant and undesirable surrounding situations and circumstances. The Goshen Experience for me began with the presence of Joseph in the land and did not end at the sharing of the promise land by the survivors of the journey through the wilderness but our everyday living till date, and more particularly encompasses every sphere of our lives and living as humans.

Succinctly, the above has led to the online live program with the theme ‘Goshen Experience’ which aims to achieve the following objectives:

• Remember– To connect people back to their highest purpose as a human being and move beyond daily distractions. Thus, leading them back to remember their mission in this world.

• Rethink– To help people see their lives, work, career, marriage, relationship etc with new eyes. By creating a thought-provoking content that leads people to dwell in possibility and see things/ life from new angles. 

• Change– To help people change profoundly on an emotional, mental, spiritual, personal and professional level. People naturally tend to focus on all their problems, we shall help them to focus on God so that they can leverage on opportunities around them.

The program is not limited to teaching but also for those who will be willing to take a step further: engage themselves in the lessons to be taught in the course of the program, relive the beautiful, and triumphant experience of the Israelites notwithstanding the dark times that engulf their space, remember there’s always a Joseph, Moses, Joshua and Jesus when we only see the Famine, Pharaoh, Red Sea, River Jordan, Wall of Jericho around us and all we need is to allow to be led by the one who knows the way of our live. The objectives of the program would be achieved using immense life practical experiences, powerful stories and illustrations from the Holy Bible that spark the fire and stimulate genuine yearning deep enough to be a catalyst for positive change, flowing from the wealth of experience of our dynamic, resourceful, determined and impregnable teachers and discussants. 

 In the light of the above, teachers, speakers and facilitators from all spheres of life would be brought to the program on monthly basis to teach the audience and answer questions as well as sharing from their wealth of experiences on facebook @Solacycmbal which would also be uploaded on Instagram and YouTube respectively.
